India, on Tuesday, slammed Pakistan at the United Nations Human Rights Commission calling it the country which pays pensions to terrorists and with a PM who admits supporting non-state actors in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at the 45th Session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Pawan Badhe, First Secretary, Permanent Mission of India in Geneva used the right to reply and said that it has become a habit for Pakistan to malign India with false and fabricated narratives for its self-serving malicious purposes.

“Neither India nor others deserve this unsolicited lecture on human rights from a country that has consistently persecuted its ethnic & religious minorities, is an epicentre of terrorism,” Badhe said while highlighting the atrocities carried out by Pakistan against minorities in that country.

Stressing that Pakistan ‘has the distinction of providing pensions to individuals on UN Sanctions list and has a PM who proudly admits training tens of thousands of terrorists to fight in Jammu & Kashmir’, India condemned the plight of minorities in Pakistan and added that the suppression is represented by the state of affairs in Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.

“Not a single day has gone by when a family in Baluchistan doesn’t find its members kidnapped by security forces of Pakistan,” Badhe said.

India slams OIC, warns Turkey

Vociferously slamming the references made by Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to Jammu and Kashmir, Badhe also stressed that the organisation has allowed itself to be misused by Pakistan to subvert its own Agenda’.

“It’s for members of OIC to decide if it is in their interests to allow Pakistan to do so,” he said. Badhe also asked Turkey to refrain from commenting on the internal affairs of India. His reference to Turkey came after that country’s President Tayyip Erdogan made several references to Kashmir, slamming the abrogation of Article 370 by India. “Our Kashmiri brothers and sisters have suffered from inconveniences for decades and these sufferings have become graver due to unilateral steps taken in recent times,” Erdogan had said in February.
