Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will face a no-confidence motion in Parliament today. The crucial session of National Assembly to decide the fate of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government will take place at 11:30 am. Imran Khan meanwhile insisted that the no-confidence motion is part of a global conspiracy to oust him and reiterated his decision not to resign in advance. Pakistan Prime Minister also said that he has credible information that his life is in danger.
Imran Khan’s government lost the majority in National Assembly as key ally Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) lent its support to the no-trust vote.
Ahead of the no-trust vote, a petition has been filed in the Pakistan Supreme Court demanding suspension of no-confidence vote against Imran Khan’s government.
The petition, filed by the ruling party, said that members of the Parliament are acting at the instigation of foreign hostile countries acting against the polity and integrity of Pakistan.
