The active number of corona virus cases is continuously rising in the country due to spike in cases in several States and Union Territories. As a result, the recovery rate is continuously declining in the country. However, India has registered over three lakh recoveries in a single day from this infectious disease.
The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said, over three lakh seven thousand patients have recovered within 24 hours. So far, over one crore 59 lakh patients have already been recovered from corona virus in the country. However, with the rising number of fresh cases, the recovery rate has further declined to 81.77 per cent.
The Ministry also said, there are over thirty three lakh 49 thousand active cases in the country at present which comprises 17.12 per cent of the total positive cases. The Health Ministry has said, over three thousand 689 deaths have been reported in the country within 24 hours, taking the toll to over two lakh 15 thousand across the country. The Ministry also said, over three lakh 92 thousand cases were registered in the past 24 hours across the country.
Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research has informed that over 18 lakh tests of corona virus samples were conducted within 24 hours. With this the total number of tests crossed the 29 crore landmark in the country.
