Union Government today said that more than one crore 30 lakh farmers have been benefited from the ongoing Kharif Marketing Season procurement Operations with MSP value of around one lakh 68 thousand crore rupees.
Consumer Affairs Ministry said, the purchase of over 889 lakh tonnes of paddy has been done till 5th of this month against the last year corresponding purchase of around 764 lakh tonnes.
The Ministry said, paddy procurement has reached at all-time high level, surpassing previous high of 773 lakh tonnes in 2019-20.
Over 433 lakh tonnes of Wheat has been procured during the Rabi Marketing Season 2021-22 against the last year corresponding purchase of around 390 lakh tonnes.
The Ministry said, more than 49 lakh farmers have already been benefited from the procurement operations with MSP value of 85 thousand 603 crore rupees.
