An Open Letter by a Kashmir resident to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to their notice about the current scenario in the Kashmir valley and to bring to their attention that there are Nationalist Kashmiris living in the valley who believes that Kashmir is safe only in the hands of India, whereas, the Separatists & Terrorists have only one motive to kill innocent Kashmiris in the name of Jihad and to turn Kashmir into a place of destruction.
He brings to their notice that he along with his friends are involved in getting the youngsters in to the mainstream and bring them closer to the idea of the country. He goes on to add that the lives of their parents, siblings and relatives are in danger as they have already lost many of their family members in the past which proves his life is in danger too.
They are trying to bring many towards the democratic process of utilizing electoral franchise and therefore are vulnerable to threat and intimidation and have got threats online & through social media which he brought to the notice of the authorities as there has been threatening by the Hurriyat to stop the activities. This has been brought to the notice of Police including ADGP Security J&K, DGP J&K, Office of MO and J&K Governor but there has been no action and hence this Open Letter.
He also points out to the PM that as the security is provided even to those people who are doing Anti national activities just because their parents were killed by the terrorists as quoted by Ram Madhav in is statement.
As the person has amply described the nature of his work and about the background of family members, requests to be provided security cover so that the present activities could be continued.
