In today’s environment no media would move without news of day-to-day child rape, abuse and degradation. With regret, we can even say that it has become a trend today. Children are being forcibly destroyed in many inappropriate ways beyond their knowledge and power. Sexual abuse, often of female children; Male children have become addicted to evil thing, Here Naresh Karthik from Coimbatore extends his support to those affected children, he is the founder of the Seed-reaps Educational & Charitable Trust, Hailing from Coimbatore, he was instrumental in reviving, educating and gaining a respectable place in society for children addicted to sexual abuse, violence and misconduct. “These children are experiencing sexual atrocities we never even dreamed of. If we do not rehabilitate them, they will be turned back against the community.” says Naresh.
Naresh, who started the organisation in 2011 at the age of 21 and is a graduate of Psychology. He then started a technology design company with his friend. In the beginning they did not have an office of their own so all the meetings were held at a nearby tea shop. The meetings that were supposed to grow the company were the reason for creating this foundation. “The maid who worked at the tea shop was working here without continuing her higher studies to get good marks in Class XII. I thought there was no money for tuition but there was another problem that was heart-breaking. Her father remarried and her mother left her alone. Her step mother forced the young girl to marry a 33-year-old man for Rs 67,000 after she finished school. Knowing this, Naresh repeatedly tried to persuade the girl’s father, but he was not convinced. He then reported this matter to the Coimbatore Police Commissioner whom he knew and resolved the issue.
Naresh enrolled the girl in college with the help of his mother who is a professor, after getting admission to the girl need to help with the other costs of studying, the High-ranking police officers, deputy and deputy commissioners of the police assisted the girl in the college to study for her. “I am grateful to the Commissioner for laying the foundation for this support.
After this, Naresh Karthik called up the commissioner, who was the foundation for this cause, while talking to him only he realised that there are a lot of problems like this that come to the police and there are more problems that are not known to the outside world. Naresh shared his journey, that I founded this foundation only because of that commissioner motivation. Naresh, who started his service in 2011, has been instrumental in the recovery of over 1,000 students and has provided guidance for school and college education for many students.
His organisation does not provide place for the rescuers in a hotel or shelter like other organisations. Children who come in as a problem are put to study together at a school and college where there is accommodation. “If all the children with social problems are brought together in one place, they will not forget the past and move on. It is only good if we get along with ordinary people like ourselves, “he says. When enrolling children in such an education system, only one or two of the top officials in the organisation reveal the children’s background. Naresh says that there will be no divisions between the students. Many children are abused by their own parents. Giving children something like a bribe inside the house and shutting their mouths leads to many scams going on without them knowing until many crimes come out. This kind of children initially sent to counselling and educating children who have suffered heart and body pains, such as rape victims, children born in a brothel, and women who have often been abused by their father. “The children who come to us, will surely make them work, as much as possible in the public service sector. We hope that this will give them an opportunity to help the community and make them aware of the intricacies of the issues and act without corruption” he said.
As per his belief, many of them are educated and working in the leading government sector. In addition, they have the opportunity to observe the activities of some of the top officials in the public sector. Naresh says they will be inspired to others too. Seed reaps is currently operating nationally. Retired police and government officials have joined the organisation. With the help of them, the recovery process become a little easier, says Naresh.
All the children who come out form the aid are the ones who come forward to provide financial assistance after receiving the approval letter from their respective police station. “If we spend and if there never go to school without acknowledging us is a loss for all. There are so many good people who help me rely on my organisation and I really don’t want to waste it” she says.
Finally, Naresh Karthik concludes that we are trying to give light to the lives of many children, and we are most welcome if others willing to help our more in this cause by all way.
