Mulayam creates flutter with his pro-Modi speech in LS

Veteran Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav created a flutter with his speech in the Lok Sabha on its last working day before the Parliamentary Elections.

In his speech that could have ramifications to the “Mahagatbandhan” efforts in the lead-up to the polls, Mulayam Singh Yadav wished to see the same MPs winning again, and also Narendra Modi to return as the Prime Minister of India. Mulayam complemented his remark with a “namaskar” looking at PM Modi. A smiling Narendra Modi reacted by bowing his head and folding his hands. The ruling party members thumped their desks in applause.

As Mulayam Singh Yadav stood in his place making his speech, former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was seated to his right In the opposition benches.

Akhilesh Yadav, the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav and president of Samajwadi Party, has been a strident critic of Narendra Modi and his government.
