Union Minister of Housing and Urban affairs Manohar Lal Khattar has said, urban mobility planning in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities must begin today, so that when these cities evolve into Tier-1 urban centres, they are already well-planned and future-ready.
The Minister said this while speaking at the valedictory session of 18th edition of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference and Exhibition 2025 in Gurugram today. The three day conference saw participation from over 1,600 delegates from 8 countries this year.
During the event, Mr Khattar also unveiled the logo of PM e-Bus Sewa Scheme and its website which aims to deploy 10000 electric buses through a Public Private Partnership – PPP model across urban and smaller cities.
