The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will contest the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections alone. The party has started preparing for the elections. This announcement was made by BSP chief Mayawati at a press conference held here on Wednesday, repored Hindusthan Samachar.
Mayawati said that she is neither with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nor with the Alliance of Opposition Leaders (India). His party will contest the elections alone. Mayawati said that when the Congress is out of power, it remembers the Dalits, the poor, and the backward. He also targeted the BJP and said that before the elections, the BJP forgot the poor by showing them a dream of Rs 15 lakh each.
Mayawati said that her party, the BSP, will contest alone in the Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections in three states of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. He said the party would contest elections in Haryana and Punjab in alliance with regional parties.
On the other hand, in the NDA meeting held on Tuesday in the national capital, Delhi, a resolution was passed to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shiv Sena President and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde put forward this proposal of the NDA in the meeting. K. Palanisamy of the AIADMK and Atul Bora of the Asom Gana Parishad seconded the resolution.
In the meeting, 39 constituents of the NDA resolved that the alliance under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi will contest the Lok Sabha elections and that Modi will become the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time with a huge majority.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting was attended by 39 constituents. This meeting was organised on the occasion of the completion of 25 successful years of the establishment of the NDA. In the resolution passed in the NDA meeting, supporting the NDA government’s nine years of service, good governance, and poor welfare schemes, it took a pledge of one India, united India.
