Recording a rise of 23,816 new cases, Maharashtra’s Corona virus tally is slowly inching towards the ten lakh mark.
With a caseload of 9,67,349, the state’s active cases stand at 2,52,734.
According to the State Public Health Department, the death toll has increased by 325 to reach 28,787.
Along with the State Government, District Administrations are also taking all possible measures.
AIR correspondent reports, following the appeal of Sindhudurg District Collector K. Manju Lakshmi and Surgeon Dr Dhananjay Chakurkar, private doctors on behalf of the Indian Medical Association have decided to provide services to the District Hospital.
Doctors at Sindhudurg District Hospital have contracted Corona which raised the question of treating the patients in the district.
Dr. Sanjay Kesare, District President of Indian Medical Association said that they will be providing services free of cost till the doctors of the District Hospital become available.
In Pune, after developing a dashboard for beds in hospitals for COVID-19 patients, Pune Municipal Corporation has now decided to create a dashboard for ambulance service as well.
A large number of complaints have been received by the Municipal Corporation that the ambulances are not arriving on time.
In wake of these complaints, it has been decided to prepare a dashboard for ambulances.
Meanwhile, a ten-day long Janta curfew has been announced for Sangli district from tomorrow to contain the pandemic.
The curfew will be totally voluntary, however, the Administration has urged all establishments except dairy, medicines and hospitals to shut their shops.
