The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh, is making enormous preparations for ‘Mahakumbh 2025,’ which would be hosted at Prayagraj’s City of Sangam. The Tourism Department is working on improving tourism destinations and beautifying temples, in addition to providing public amenities for the ‘Mahakumbh 2025.’
The Tourism Department also proposes building the ‘Digital Kumbh Museum’ in this sequence. This museum, which will be erected at a cost of 60 crore, would draw worshippers to the area. It will not only showcase the culture of the country and state, but it will also provide insights into the mythical and historical significance of the Kumbh Mela. This suggestion was recently given to the chief secretary by the Tourism Department.
It is worth-noting that the chief minister intends to make the Mahakumbh 2025, which will be hosted in Prayagraj, the most heavenly and majestic event in history. According to his vision, devotees from all over the country and the world, who visit Prayagraj should have access to all types of municipal amenities.
In a recent meeting, CM Yogi stated that the Kumbh Mela in 2025, will be remembered fondly by devotees for a long time and that when they depart, they will praise its merits. The development work in this region is developing in accordance with the Chief Minister’s intentions, reported HS.
According to the plan, authorities here on Tuesday stated that the Digital Kumbh Museum will give visitors with a modern Kumbh experience by providing amenities like Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC), along with audio-video rooms. It will also have spiritual-themed galleries such as the Spiritual and Kumbh Mela Interpretation Gallery, Samudra Manthan Gallery and Akhada Gallery.
The museum will have a food plaza and a souvenir store, where visitors may buy Kumbh Mela-related books and merchandise. There will also be a Cultural Haat (Akshayavat), a museum, gallery, and theatre (Amrit Kalash), and a guest house. The ‘sangam’ river would be presented in the entry lobby via digital projection, according to the proposed concept of the Digital Kumbh Museum.
Based on moving fractal geometry and static images, three rivers- Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, will be presented in three distinct colours. Following that, an interactive Prayagraj map will be shown on a giant screen in the Interpretation Gallery, which may be explored via touch interactions.
Along with Prayagraj’s history, information on the present city will be offered here. The epic story of ‘Samudra Manthan’ will be told by floor projection at the Samudra Manthan Gallery. The Akhada Gallery will highlight the country’s Akhada culture. It will contain an interactive display depicting Shankaracharya’s travels. The Temporal City will have video walls, whilst the ‘triveni sangam’ will have a combination of floor, wall, and ceiling.
In addition to Bharadwaj Ashram, Dwadash Madhav Mandir, Nagvasuki Mandir, Dashashwamedh Mandir, Manakameshwar Mandir, Alopashankari Mandir, Padila Mahadev Mandir, temples along the Panchkoshi Parikrama Path, Koteshwar Mahadev, and Kalyani Mandir, the Tourism Department has proposed various other development works for MahaKumbh 2025.
There are also proposals to beautify and build Takshak Tirth, temples in the Karachna region, Akshayavat/Saraswati Koop/Patalpuri Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, a floating jetty, and a restaurant. Other improvements included in the project include the rehabilitation and beautification of 18 new rooms, as well as the maintenance and beauty of three access gates along the main pathways for Triveni Darshan.
All of these projects, including the Digital Kumbh Museum, are expected to cost more over Rs 170 crore. In addition, other civil improvements are anticipated to cost Rs 120 crore, while facade lighting-related works are estimated to cost Rs 18 crore.
