Madhya Pradesh Home Dept issues new guidelines to prevent coronavirus infection during festivals

In Madhya Pradesh, new guidelines have been issued by the Home Department to prevent coronavirus infection during festivals and religious programs.
 
Home Department has withdrawn the earlier order in which the state government restricted heights of idols and Tajiya to be installed at various public places.
 
The government clearly said that other instructions issued in view of COVID infection will have to be strictly followed. Legal action will be taken against violations of instructions.
 
AIR correspondent reports, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Dr Rajesh Rajaura said that according to the new order, tableau makers and organizers should not allow more devotees or spectators to gather at the narrow place.
 
They must ensure compliance of social distancing.
 
Dr Rajaura informed that the only group of 10 people will be allowed to take the idols to the immersion site. 
 
The organizers will have to take permission from the district administration separately for the immersion.
 
Guidelines issued by the Supreme Court regarding use of loud-speakers in Durga Puja and Ravana Dahan should also be complied.
 
On the other hand, the numbers of COVID-19 cases in the state climbed up to 1.37 lakh while more than 1.15 Lakh people recovered so far.
 
There are now 18,757 active cases in Madhya Pradesh.
