Madhya Pradesh government will organise kisan welfare programs on the occasion of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan informed that Prime Minister Modi will interact with farmers and address them in a virtual programme. Mr. Chauhan said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is transferring an amount of Rs. 18 thousand crores to the bank accounts of around 9 crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Nidhi. This includes 78 lakh farmers of Madhya Pradesh.
This scheme has provision of giving Rs six thousand per year to small and marginal farmers by the central government. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the State government has added two additional installments of Rs two thousand each in the scheme for the benefit of farmers of the State.
AIR Correspondent reports, Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Modi’s address will be broadcast all over the State. This virtual programme of transferring the amount of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Nidhi to the farmers will be held at block and panchayat level also. The Chief Minister informed that Madhya Pradesh government has been continuously working for farmers’ welfare. Initiative was also taken to provide a relief amount of Rs 1600 crore to 35 lakh farmers of the State. Under this, funds are being transferred to the farmers’ accounts.
