In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute bank loans worth Rs 150 crore to the members of self-help groups formed under the State Rural Livelihood Mission today in order of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister will also hold discussions with the beneficiaries of various districts.
AIR correspondent reports, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department Manoj Shrivastava informed that social and economic empowerment of women members of poor families living in rural areas is being done by linking them with self-help groups under the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission.
On September 20 too, Rs 150 crore was disbursed to the groups in the form of bank loan
The target of annual bank loan disbursement to the groups has been increased to 1400 crores.
So far, financial assistance in the form of bank loan of Rs 1,865 crore has been provided to more than 33 lakh rural poor families through Livelihood Mission by connecting them to more than 3 lakh self-help groups.
