Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that micro-containment areas should be formed even if there are just one or two cases, so that infection does not spread. He was reviewing the COVID-19 situation in the state and arrangements for dealing with the pandemic. The recovery rate of the state increased to 98.2 percent. The state ranks 23rd in the country in terms of Covid infection.
The state reported 397 new cases of Corona while 1240 patients have recovered from the infection. The number of active patients reduced to 5 thousand 447. The weekly positivity rate of the state is 0.7 percent. Weekly positivity rate is more than one percent in only two districts Indore and Bhopal. The remaining 50 districts have a positivity rate of less than one percent.
