Kochi/Thiruvananthapuram: Husband of the accused in gold smuggling case Swapna Suresh, was also involved in the crime as per reports. Swapna’s husband, Jayasankar, met with the gold smuggling gang several times in hotel rooms. Mathrubhumi News has secured the details of his interactions with the smuggling gang. Swapna Suresh was arrested along with her friend Sandeep Nair the other day by NIA.
Jayasankar stayed in hotel rooms to meet with the gold smuggling gang. The customs department seized the identity card of Jayasankar from these hotels. These rooms were booked by Arun, an employee at the Secretariat.
Meanwhile, the investigation officers received crucial evidence on the case while interrogating former Principal Secretary of Chief Minister, M Sivasankar.
