Kochi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team probing the gold smuggling case has recovered phone chats of the accused Swapna Suresh with VIPs. Swapna had saved screenshots of these chats on Google Drive. It is learned NIA has accessed these files.
NIA concluded that Swapna had saved the screenshots of her personal chats with VIPs on special folders in Google Drive. It is assumed that she had saved these personal chats to blackmail the VIPs. According to reports, NIA has recorded these facts in the case diary.
NIA has received information that Swapna, other accused PS Sarith and Sandeep Nair visited a minister at his residence multiple times. It was also found that Swapna accompanied wives of the VIPs for shopping. It is learned that she had intentionally made a personal bond with family members of VIPs.
NIA also uncovered that a VIP’s son was Swapna’s business partner.
