Karnataka Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has informed that the Chief Minister has decided to give him additional charge of Health and Family Welfare department.
Speaking to media persons today, he said both Medical Education and Health and Family Welfare departments will be under him. The portfolio of Health and Family Welfare was held by B Sriramulu earlier, who is now being given the Social Welfare department.
Dr. Sudhakar said that an order in this regard will be issued today. He said his priority will be to contain mortality rate due to Covid and make Covid treatment accessible to all.
