Kamlesh Tiwari murder: Culprits will not be spared, says Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday condemned the murder of Hindu Samaj Party leader Kamlesh Tiwari by saying that such incidents are unacceptable and people involved in the case will not be spared.

The chief minister further said that so far three people have been arrested in connection with the murder case.

Yogi Adityanath is also planning to meet the family members of the deceased leader on Saturday evening, as per media reports.

Earlier on Saturday, the family of the deceased said that they won’t cremate Kamlesh Tiwari until the BJP leader meets them.

In a press conference in Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP), OP Singh said, A joint team of UP and Gujarat Police has detained 3 persons and interrogating them. Their names are Maulana Mohsin Sheikh, Faizan, and Khurshid Ahmed Pathan.

Kamlesh Tiwari, the chief of Hindu Samaj Party, was murdered on Friday afternoon inside his residence in Lucknow. He was reportedly shot multiple times. The Hindu Samaj Party chief died while being taken to a hospital.

Kamlesh Tiwari was killed over Prophet Muhammad remarks he had made in 2015.
