The Jodhpur court on Thursday will hear the final arguments in the Bikaner land deal involving Robert Vadra, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s husband, and his mother Maureen Vadra.
The Bikaner case, involving Robert Vadra, pertains to the purchase of 275 bighas of land by Skylight Hospitality Private Limited in Bikaner’s Kolayat region.
On August 22, the Jodhpur court set the date — September 12 — for hearing the final arguments in the Bikaner land deal case.
The hearing by Justice G R Mulchandani in Jodhpur Court was held on the petition of Robert Vadra’s Skylight Hospitality Private Limited and Mahesh Nagar.
ASG Raj Deepak Rastogi, representing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the case, mentioned that final argument in the case was kept for consideration and that he is prepared for the same.
During the August hearing in Justice GR Mulchandani’s Court, Advocate Kuldeep Mathur representing Sky Light Hospitality Private Limited and Vadra, sought more time.
This was strongly opposed by ASG Rastogi, representing the ED, maintaining that final argument is to be held and that he is prepared for the same.
The ED had sought the removal of interim stay on arrest of Vadra in the Bikaner case.
Earlier, the court had asked all partners in the firm to cooperate with the ED in the case.
The Jodhpur Court, after hearing both sides, heads scheduled the next hearing and final argument in the case for September 12.
