J&K: Campaign under ‘SVANidhi Se Samriddhi’ and ‘Main Bhi Digital’ initiatives concluded

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Housing and Urban Development Department successfully concluded a week-long campaign yesterday under the ‘SVANidhi Se Samriddhi’ and ‘Main Bhi Digital’ initiatives. Held from April 7 to 12 across 17 Urban Local Bodies, the campaign aimed to uplift street vendors by linking them with central government welfare schemes and enhancing their access to digital financial services. Around 100 awareness camps were organized, benefiting over 1,200 vendors and their families.

Under ‘SVANidhi Se Samriddhi,’ vendors were connected to key schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY, Ayushman Bharat, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana to promote financial and social inclusion. The focus was on promoting holistic development and ensuring the financial and social inclusion of vendors into mainstream welfare mechanisms. Meanwhile, ‘Main Bhi Digital’ enabled vendors to adopt digital payment tools through training and support from banks and digital aggregators, allowing them to conduct secure, transparent transactions and improve their business efficiency in today’s increasingly digital economy.
