Instagram is reportedly working on a new ‘Voice Note’ feature that will help users keep track of what is being said on a video in its own Threads app. This feature is built for Instagram users’ close friends and is only going to be available for the video platform.
This new feature was reported by tipster and developer Alessandro Paluzzi on Twitter who claimed that the new Voice Note feature will automatically turn audio in videos to live captions.
The Voice Notes feature, once Instagram rolls it out, is going to be very useful for users with hearing disabilities. These Voice Notes are very similar to YouTube’s live captions and also help when the audio or the accent is not very clear.
Facebook launched the Threads app last year that lets you share photos, messages, videos, stories etc with your close friends on Instagram. Your close friends can view these messages and stories on Threads and also on Instagram.
The Threads app helps build a close circle of friends with whom you can share more personal photos, conversations etc. And this list of close friends can be edited from your Instagram account.
