In football, India has stormed into the semi-finals of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2026. The Indian team defeated defending champions Bangladesh 3-0 at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa, yesterday to top Group B of the Championship.
Pyari Xaxa, Lynda Kom, and Malavika P scored a goal each. India will now face Group A runners-up Bhutan in the semi-finals on Wednesday. On the other hand Bangladesh, will take on Group A winner Nepal in the other semi-final.
