India declare at first innings against Sri Lanka in Mohali test; Ravindra Jadeja scores 175

In the first Cricket Test at Mohali, India declares the first innings at 574 for 8 against Sri Lanka on day two of the first test. Indian innings was powered by 175 not out by Ravindra Jadeja. In reply Sri lanka were 14 for no loss when the last report came in.

Earlier, hosts resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 357 for six this morning. Ravindra Jadeja made a century and was playing at 102.

India had won the toss and elected to bat first. The two-match series marks the beginning of Rohit Sharma’s journey as the skipper of the Test side and incidentally this is the 100th Test of Star Cricketer Virat Kohli.
