Government today said that globally, India continues to report one of the lowest COVID mortality rates. In a tweet, the Health Ministry said, on a steady decline, India’s Fatality Rate is 1.48 per cent. The Ministry said, 22 States and Union Territories are demonstrating case fatality rate less than the national average even today.
The Ministry also said that the recovery rate of Covid patients in 18 States and UTs have more than the national average. It said, widespread and comprehensive testing, prompt tracing, quick isolation, and effective treatment of severe patients in ICUs through a Standard Of Care protocol across Government and private hospitals have resulted in this outcome.
