In Himachal Pradesh, Shimla city and its surrounding areas experienced season’s first light snowfall, bringing cheer among tourists and hoteliers.
High and mid hills in the state received fresh snowfall while plain areas experienced scattered rains last night.
The State weather department has forecast rain and snowfall in isolated places of the state today as well.
The Department also issued yellow weather warning of ground frost and cold wave likely to occur at isolated places of plains over the next three days.
Several parts of Himachal Pradesh including Keylong, Kalpa, Manali, Mandi, Solan, Sundernagar and Bhuntar shivered at sub-zero temperature.
The tribal district Lahaul-Spiti’s administrative centre Keylong remained the coldest place in the state at minus 11.6 degrees Celsius.
