Harsimrat Kaur resigns in protest against anti-farmer; Narendra Tomar to be given additional charge

President of India Ram Nath Kovind has accepted Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s resignation letter. Narendra Singh Tomar has been given the additional charge of the ministry along with the food processing industries ministry.

Harsimrat Kaur had resigned over the farm ordinances. She was protesting against the farm bill that was introduced, she has now announced her resignation from the Modi cabinet.

She informed via her tweet where she stated that she has resigned from Union Cabinet in protest against anti-farmer ordinances and legislation. She further added that she is proud to stand with farmers as she is a farmer’s daughter and a sister.
