Gujarat Government has decided to re-open the colleges and schools for class 9 to 12 with physical presence by the end of November.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Gandhinagar yesterday.
State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that schools and colleges will be reopened after the diwali festival following the finalisation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Meanwhile, the state has recorded 990 new cases of Covid19 yesterday.
Gujarat has recorded a total 1 lakh 77 thousand 598 cases till now. Out of these, 1 lakh 61 thousand 525 patients recovered. 1055 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. Recovery rate has reached up to 90.95 percent.
More than 63 lakh 13 thousand tests have been carried out in the state till date. Maximum 217 new cases reported from Surat, while Ahmedabad recorded 173 new cases. At present total active cases in the state are 12326, out of which 67 patients are on ventilator. 7 patients died yesterday taking the total deaths due to Covid19 up to 3747.
