Google introduced Google Stadia at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2019 in San Francisco, US back in March this year. Now, nearly eight months later the company is ready to formally launch its cloud-based game streaming service to the gamers allowing them to play games across Google’s interface without downloading any of their favourite titles.
At the time of launch, Google Stadia will be available in a total of 14 countries and offer a total of 22 titles to the gaming fans to select from. The list of countries where Google Stadia will be available starting today includes — Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US.

Notably, these games will not be available as a part of the Stadia Pro subscription service, which will cost $9.99 (Rs 718 approx) per month. Users will have to purchase individual games to stream and play them on Google Stadia. While Google hasn’t officially revealed the pricing of any of its games, Android Police has gotten hold of the price of some of the games that Stadia will be launching with.
As per the report — Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will cost $30 (Rs 2,155 approx), Gylt will cost $29.99 (Rs 2,155 approx), Just Dance 2020 will cost $49.99 (Rs 3,592 approx), Kine will cost $19.99 (Rs 1,436 approx), Mortal Kombat 11 will cost $41.99 (Rs 3,017 approx), Red Dead Redemption 2 – Launch Edition will cost $59.99 (Rs 4,310 approx), Samurai Showdown will cost $59.99 (Rs 4,310 approx), Thumper will cost $19.99 (Rs 1,436 approx), Shadow of the Tomb Raider will cost $59.99 (Rs 4,310 approx), Rise of the Tomb Raider will cost $29.99 (Rs 2,155 approx), Tomb Raider 2013 will cost $10 (Rs 718 approx), Final Fantasy XV will cost $29.99 (Rs 2,155 approx), Red Dead Redemption 2 Special Edition will cost $79.99 (Rs 5,747 approx), Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition will cost $99.99 (Rs 8,184 approx), Mortal Kombat 11 Premium Edition will cost $62.99 (Rs 4,526 approx), and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Stadia Ultimate Edition will cost $60.00 (Rs 4,311 approx).
The cost of of these games is separate from the $9.99 (Rs 718 approx) monthly subscription charge for Stadia Pro and cost of Stadia Controller ($69 or Rs 4,958 approx) or Stadia Premier Edition which consists of a Stadia Controller and a Google Chromecast and costs $129 (Rs 9,289 approx).
