Foreign investors pump in nearly Rs 10,000 cr into Indian equities markets in 1st two weeks of June

Continuing their buying stance, foreign investors pumped in nearly 10,000 crore rupees into the Indian equities markets in the first two weeks of June. As per the depositories data, the foreign portfolio investors, or FPIs, invested a net sum of 9,788 crore rupees in the Indian equities during the June 1 and 9 period. Apart from equities, they also invested 592 crore rupees in the debt market during the same period, taking the total investment in the Indian capital markets to 10,380 crore rupees.

This came following a nine-month high investment of 43,838 crore rupees in equities in May, 11,631 crore rupees in April, and 7,936 crore rupees in March. So far in 2023, foreign investors have put in 39,000 crore rupees in Indian equities and 8,100 crore rupees in debt markets.
