Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today held Pre-Budget consultations in New Delhi with leading experts in the area of agriculture and agro-processing industry in connection with the forthcoming Union Budget 2021-22. The meeting was attended by Finance Secretary Dr A.B. Pandey, Secretary Department of Economic Affairs Tarun Bajaj and Chief Economic Adviser K V Subramanian besides other senior officials.
Earlier, the Minister had meetings with experts in infrastructure, energy and climate change and captains of financial and capital markets, top industrialists, industry and commerce associations, trade bodies and others to seek ideas for the Union Budget.
