Manu Bhaker (Shooting) | The 16-year-old shooting prodigy from Haryana had a delightful 2018. She represented India at the 2018 ISSF World Cup, bagging a gold medal in the 10 m air pistol and 10 m air pistol mixed team. She also claimed gold in the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. In light of her exploits at the World Cup and CWG, the teenage star was nominated as the Indian contingent’s flag bearer at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She finished the event with gold and silver medals in the 10 m air pistol and 10 m air pistol mixed team events respectively.

Hima Das (Athletics)| The 18-year-old ‘Golden girl’ from Assam, created history when she clocked 51.46 seconds in the women’s 400m event to win the gold medal at the World Jr. Athletics Championships Tampere, Finland. More glory awaited her as she became the first Indian to win a track gold at Asian Games 2018. Das, who is nicknamed “Dhing Express,” recently became the face of Adidas in India.
