The Bihar Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) office has clarified that filing of nomination for the First Phase of State Assembly Elections will take place today as per schedule.
The clarification has been issued in view of spread of false information in some sections of social media about declaration of public holiday for Chehallum and closure of nomination process today.
All offices of designated Returning Officers (RO) of the First Phase Assembly constituencies will remain open today. It is the last date of filing of nominations for the First Phase in 71 Assembly constituencies.
