Fakhreddine vows to bring back BRAVE CF title back to the Arab world

Seef District, Bahrain – 9 September 2020

One of the biggest MMA figures in the Middle East, Lebanon’s Mohammad Fakhreddine has the chance of a lifetime as he looks to become the new BRAVE Combat Federation Middleweight world champion. On September 17th, he will travel to the Kingdom of Bahrain to headline BRAVE CF 41 against reigning titleholder Daniel Gaucho. It will be a battle between two of the top strikers in the division, and fans around the world and in the Kingdom can expect fireworks from this main event contest.

For Fakhreddine, BRAVE CF 41 represents a chance for redemption after a difficult year. He has dealt with multiple setbacks throughout 2020, beginning, of course, with the Covid-19 outbreak, which tampered his ability to train full-time.

He has also been dealing with the loss of his house in a fire, and the explosion that affected thousands of people in his beloved Beirut, Lebanon, last August. While he has been unaffected, Fakhreddine knows people who have had to deal with the aftermath of the tragedy, as he has been living only ten minutes away from the Beirut port, where the explosion took place.

When 2020 seemed to be a dark year for Mohammad, the opportunity came to fight for the world title at BRAVE CF, his home since 2016. Fakhreddine has a long history with the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world, as he was actually scheduled to headline their first-ever show, back in September of 2016. An injury prevented him from doing so, and his debut came at BRAVE CF 4, when he knocked out Brazil’s Vinicius Cruz.

He continued his winning streak with another quick TKO over Lukasz Witos, and then had the first chance to fight for the title. Then fighting at Welterweight, Fakhreddine fell ill during his weight-cut and was forced to pull out from the fight against Carl Booth in Brazil.

Recovered, he started a rivalry with Tahar Hadbi, from Algeria, and the two men were responsible for two of the most intense encounters in the promotion’s history. Eventually Hadbi came out as the winner, prompting Fakhreddine to move up to Middleweight.

Last year, at BRAVE CF 27 he returned a new fighter, much more aggressive, but at the same time methodic. Fakhro finished Christofer Silva inside one round, with massive leg kicks. It was the prelude to something great, which came at BRAVE CF 29, when he challenged for the KHK World Open Weight Championship, fighting for the most prestigious belt in MMA against men much bigger and stronger.

He showcased his heart through and through, representing the Arab MMA scene and making it to the final. Even though he lost to heavier Azamat Murzakanov, his stock was at an all-time high.

Now, Fakhreddine will have the chance to fight for the belt at his most-natural weight class, a privilege he will not take lightly. He knows that representing Lebanon and the Arab world on a global platform is a duty that he will take with pride. For ‘’The Latest’’, only victory will matter.

”I’m ready for war. With all due respect to everyone, but I won’t settle for anything less than gold. This is my time to shine, and nothing will stop me from claiming this BRAVE CF title”, promised ”The Latest”.
