Exports of Engineering Goods has registered a growth of 54 per cent during April to December 2021 as compared to the same period of the previous year. As per provisional figures, exports of Engineering Goods was over 81 Billion US dollars during April to December 2021 as compared to over 52 Billion US dollars during the same period in 2020.
India’s top five export destinations of Engineering Goods during the period April to November 2021 were USA, China, UAE, Italy and Germany. Commerce Ministry has said that the impressive growth in Engineering Goods exports in recent years has largely been due to the Zero duty Export Promotion Capital Goods scheme.
