External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar will hold talks with Nepal Foreign Affairs Minister Shisir Khanal in New Delhi this evening. The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Nepal said that during the meeting, both sides will discuss matters of mutual interest, with a view to enhancing cooperation across key areas including trade, investment, connectivity, energy and people-to-people ties. Meanwhile, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the visit will further strengthen the special partnership between India and Nepal. He noted that the two countries share an expansive agenda encompassing development cooperation, people-to-people ties, trade, and investment, among other areas of mutual interest. Meanwhile, Nepal Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal, who is on a 3-day visit to India, met National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval in New Delhi yesterday. According to the Nepal embassy in India, the two officials discussed various issues aimed at further strengthening Nepal-India bilateral relations.
