Minister for Personnel and Public Grievances Dr Jitendra Singh today inaugurated a National Workshop on e-office in New Delhi.
Dr Singh also launched the Centralized Public Grievance Redress And Monitoring System, CPGRAMS Reforms at the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said, there has been a significant jump in the number of public grievances received against government departments as it touched the 19 lakh mark in 2019 as compared to 2 lakh such complaints in 2014.
He said, over 95 per cent grievances have been disposed of by the government. The Minister said, this happened due to the better and prompt response from the government.
He stressed that since the first day in office, the government has focused on Maximum Governance and Minimum Government. Dr Singh said, India will celebrate the 75th year of Independence in 2022 and the focus should be on E-Governance.
