Five cops of the Delhi Police Special Cell will be awarded with the Union Home Minister’s Special Operation Medal 2019, for conducting special operations, as part of their respective forces. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday approved the Special Operation Medal for 46 police personnel, including five from Delhi Police Special Cell, 25 from Odisha Police and 16 from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The Special Cell personnel of Delhi include DCP Pramod Kushwah and his team, comprising ACP Attar Singh, Inspector Shiv Kumar, ASI Rajesh Sharma and Head Constable Adesh Kumar, who will be given the honour for arresting two JeM militants in January.
