Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on being conferred with the Food and Agriculture Organisation’s Agricola Medal. In a social media post, Mr Singh said that the honour recognises Mr Modi’s remarkable leadership in strengthening food security, advancing sustainable agriculture, and driving rural development. He added that from empowering farmers and modernising agricultural infrastructure to ensuring welfare reaches the poorest, India’s agricultural transformation under PM Modi has earned worldwide recognition. The Defence Minister also congratulated the Prime Minister for being conferred with the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit and Sweden’s Royal Order of the Polar Star. He said that these recognitions reflect the growing respect for India’s leadership and rising global stature under the stewardship of Mr Modi.
