If hypocrisy has a name, isn’t it Communist Party of India?
CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury said on 13 Feb, that his party would stage a protest during US President Donald Trump’s visit to the country later this month, as he was coming to boost American economy at the cost of India’s interest.
But, Sitaram Yechury would bow his head before Chinese President Xi Jinping when he lands in India on September 2014. CPI even welcomed Modi-Xi Summit at Mamallapuram in Tamil Nadu in October 2019. Why? Wasn’t Chinese prez visiting India to boost Chinese economy at the cost of India’s interest?
- It is China, which has been raking up Kashmir issue in United nation to harm India since a long time
- It is China, which blocked a bid for the fourth time in the United Nations (UN) Security Council to designate Azhar as a “global terrorist” by putting a technical hold on the proposal on 13 March 2019.
- The proposal to designate Masood Azhar as a “global terrorist in UNSC was moved by France, the UK and the US on 27 February 2019, days after the Pulwama terror attack which killed forty Indian soldiers.
Then, why does CPI(M) welcome Chinese President with his blatant anti India stand but would protest US President Donald Trumps visit to India?
The question is since how long India’s interest became CPI’s interest? Nationalism as a concept has been alien to communism. For a communist, ideology comes first before country.
Can anyone imagine a political part strictly asking its party members not to donate blood for Indian soldiers when they were going to war with China in 1962? Undivided Communist Party of India had backed China in 1962 war, and had strictly asked its cadre not to donate blood for injured soldiers. CPI split on this issue in 1964. CPI went with Moscow, CPI(M) with Beijing. In 1969 CPI(M) split further with Charu Mazumdar leading far-Left CPI(ML) which even rejected parliamentary system, and adopted violence as means.
The former Chief Minister of Kerala, V S Achutanandan—who was a CPM politburo member during Indo China war in 1962–was sacked for suggesting a ‘blood donation camp’ for injured Indian Army soldiers.
What is heart rending is that even housewives had whole heartedly supported their soldiers during Indo China war in 1962 by giving their jewelleries, while their men donating blood, which regenerate within three days. But, the degenerate comrades put their ideology above nation backstabbing their own nation playing the role of Chinese agents. Today, Sitaram Yechury talking India’s interest sounds as if a butcher is trying to protect a cow.
Hypocrisy die thousand deaths when a comrade singing song of socialism parks his children in capitalist country to enjoy lavish lives. Sitaram Yechury’s daughter is Akhila Yechury, who is a professor of History and teaches at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Why isn’t she teaching under privileged children in interior part of West Bengal?
Isn’t treachery and hypocrisy synonymous of Communist Party of India?
