Country’s first corporate train Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express to be flagged off today

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will flag off the country’s first corporate train Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express this morning. The flagging off function will be held at the Lucknow Junction. Apart from offering passengers a more comfortable and fastest ride experience between Lucknow and Delhi, IRCTC has introduced several firsts in terms of service standards, ticket reservation, cancellation, refund and travel insurance.

Train will run 6 days in a week with advance coaches which will have tea-coffee vending machines, call bell and toilet indicator facilities and High-quality food and beverages will be provided to passengers. Chief regional manager of IRCTC Ashwani Shrivastava told AIR that talks are in final stage to introduce onboard ATM and baggage pick and drop facility for passengers. The commercial run of the train will start from tomorrow. IRCTC will also offer the Executive lounge facility at New Delhi railway station at a reduced rate to passengers of the Tejas Express.
