Coal, Iron Ore and Cement Lead Freight Loading as Indian Railways Maintains Strong Daily Operations

Indian Railways has completed 1020 million tonnes of freight loading this year so far. The Ministry of Railways said that coal remains the largest contributor, over 500 million tonnes, followed by iron ore, 115 million tonnes and cement, 92 million tonnes. The Ministry said that daily loading continues to hold strong at around 4.4 million tonnes, which is higher than 4.2 million tonnes last year, demonstrating improved operational efficiency and sustained demand.
