Centre releases Rs 35,298 Cr as GST compensation to states, UTs

GST collections remain subdued at ₹ 95,380 crore in October

The Centre today released the GST compensation of Rs 35,298 crore to States and Union Territories. The move came two days ahead of the GST Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday. It is expected to discuss measures to raise revenue.

GST revenue collection witnessed an impressive recovery with a positive growth of six per cent last month as compared to the collections of the same month last year. The gross GST revenue collected in November is one lakh three thousand 492 crore rupees.
