BJP appoints Kewal Singh Dhillon as Punjab unit president

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Punjab, Kewal Singh Dhillon has been appointed as the state president of the party’s Punjab unit, today. He has been given the charge of Punjab unit by the party’s National President, Nitin Nabin.

A former Barnala MLA, Mr. Dhillon was born in Tallewal village in Barnala. He served as MLA from here from 2007 to 2017. Later, he joined the BJP in June 2022 and was subsequently appointed vice-president of the Punjab unit. Meanwhile, party sources said that the present incumbent Sunil Jakhar whose three-year tenure is ending in July, this year, will continue to play an important role in the party in Punjab.
