Bharatiya Janata Party and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam are reported to have arrived at a seat-sharing deal.
According to unconfirmed sources, the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu (including the lone seat Puducherry) will be shared on a 25-15 basis.
Smaller parties in the alliance such as PMK, DMDK, TMC, NRC, PT may get some shares of the seats from the two bigger parties.
The sources referred to a meeting between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisami, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and Union finance minister Piyush Goyal regarding the seat sharing aspect. If everything proceeds smoothly, it would be a mega alliance in Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2019 elections.
