Bharat International Rice Conference-BIRC 2025 will be held in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam on 30th and 31st October. It is the world’s largest rice event with farmers, global buyers and stakeholders.
In a video message, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal informed about the event and described agriculture as the soul of Indian civilisation, with rice as the pride of the country’s farmers. He said that the conference will be a symbol of the country’s rich rice diversity, quality standards and also strengthen business-to-business linkages.
Mr Goyal said that the event will accelerate the vision to double agri and agri-based exports in the next 5 years. He added that the welfare of the country’s farmers is the primary goal of the trade negotiations and that the government will never compromise with the interests of farmers.
