The NarendraModi government launched various schemes in its four and half years in power so far. Most of these schemes have received attention and compliments from international luminaries, including the world’s richest man, Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates.
“Aadhaar” gained importance with the Indian government making it mandatory for many government-related services such as financial transactions, land purchase, registration, bank account opening and operation.
The “Aadhaar” project drew the attention of Bill Gates. He studied the process and complimented the Indian government, allaying fears about privacy issues. Bill Gates has been funding an Aadhaar-like project by the World Bank for other countries.
A little more than three months ago, the Modi government launched “Ayushman Bharat” to provide quality health and medical care to more than 10 crore people below the poverty line. This scheme saw success within 100 days of its launch, with 6,85,000 families getting the benefit of “Ayushman Bharat” as per a tweet by union health minister JagatPrakashNadda.
In a tweet, Bill Gates congratulated the Indian government, the Prime Minister’s Office and Ayushman Bharat office upon the achievement in a short time of 100 days.
