Benazir Bhutto’s daughters cast votes in Sindh’s Nawabshah

Nawabshah [Pakistan ], May 25 : Late Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s daughters Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari cast their votes in Sindh’s Nawabshah.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari took to her Twitter handle to share a picture with her younger sister, where the two showed their inked thumbs.
Asif Ali Zardari is contesting from NA-213 constituency.
“Voted with @AseefaBZ this morning in #Nawabshah & inshAllah in Shaheed Benazirabad #TeerChalega #Pakistan #Elections2018 #AgliBariPirZardari @AAliZardari,” she tweeted.

She further attacked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party for opposing the women protection bill and domestic violence bill and questioned their pro-women policy.
“2006 #PTI voted against women protection bill. 2016 #PTI opposed the protection against domestic violence bill. 2018 Imran Khan vouches for the Taliban system of justice. How pro women do you think that justice is? #DontWasteYourVote #WomenVote #PPPForWomenEmpowerment,” she tweeted.

Praising the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) rule, Bakhtawar said that the country’s democracy was preserved due to Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari.
“What I love the most is that #Pakistan has #democracy – thanks to Shaheed Benazir #Bhutto & Pres @AAliZardari 4 ensuring the 1st civilian transfer of government in Pakistan’s #History. Many more 2 come #EvenTheWorstDemocracy #IsBetterThanAnyDictatorship #PeoplesChoice #JeayBhutto,” she added.

Meanwhile, a large number of female voters are heading to polling stations in Peshawar to cast their votes, reported the Dawn.
Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif also cast his vote in Lahore’s Model Town.
Nearly 106 million registered voters will cast their vote to choose the new government in Pakistan.
As many as 12,570 candidates are contesting for 272 national and 577 provincial assembly seats.
Pakistan saw intense campaigning ahead of the 11th general election by candidates from key parties, namely Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan’s Peoples Party(PPP).
As many as 800,000 law enforcement and army personnel have been deployed across the length and breadth of the nation to ensure a safe election.
Taking into account the wave of violence and terrorist attacks witnessed in the run-up to the elections, Peshawar’s deputy commissioner has arranged 1,000 kafans (burial shroud) as a pre-emptive measure.
The troops have been deployed to provide mandated assistance to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to conduct polls, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
