The Assam government said in recruitment to the Assam Police the state will give preference to those youth who complete their four-year Agnipath Career.
Welcoming the Agnipath scheme, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Assam government has decided to accord priority to ‘Agniveers’ in recruitments in the Assam Police.
He said that Agniveers will acquire enough military skill and arms training during their four-year stint. Mr. Sarma hoped that many youths from the state will join the Indian army as ‘Agniveers’.
