Amit Shah Lays Foundation Stone for ₹883 Cr Mata Janki Temple in Sitamarhi

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah today strongly criticised RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for opposing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll in Bihar. Addressing a public meeting at Punauradham in Sitamarhi this afternoon, Mr. Shah alleged that by opposing the SIR , these opposition leaders are favouring intruders for vote bank politics. The senior BJP leader accused the purification of Electoral Roll was held earlier also during the Jawahar Lal Nehru period and in 2003 but no one opposed. He said Congress and RJD want votes from outsiders so they are protesting the SIR.

Mr. Shah said that the SIR held by the Elections Commission of India is a corrective measure for healthy democracy. The Union Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to the security of the country.

Mr. Shah said besides development of Punauradham Janki Temple redevelopment, a series of works are being undertaken which are related to Goddess Sita , Lord Ram and their sons Luv Kush. He said with this aim Valmiki Nagar, Ram Rekha Ghat, Munger and Gaya Sitakund are being redeveloped. He said the redevelopment of Punauradham shows that the NDA government is reinstating the grandeur of Mithila as a centre of education, knowledge and culture. It also shows respect to Matri Shakti which is part of our tradition. Mr. Shah said for Bihar Prime Minister Modi has given financial help of 83,000 crore rupees in the last six visits to Bihar.

Earlier Mr. Shah laid the foundation stone and performed Bhumi Pujan for the new Mata Janki Temple at Punauradham in Sitamarhi in Bihar which will be completed at a cost of more than 883 crore rupees in a sprawling area of 67 acres. He also flagged off New Delhi Sitamarhi Amrit Bharat Express train via video conference. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Giriraj Singh, Rajiv Ranjan Singh were also present at public meeting at Punauradham.
